Rose Lecompte, née en 1959, est une photographe et historienne de l'art française. Après des études à l'École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon puis à la Sorbonne, elle mène une carrière d'historienne de l'art et enseigne cette discipline à l'Université Catholique d'Angers. En parallèle, elle développe un travail photographique très personnel, oscillant entre figuration et abstraction, centré notamment sur les reflets aquatiques. Avec la fin du confinement lié au Covid-19, elle élargit sa réflexion à la fragmentation du monde contemporain, à travers des déambulations souvent urbaines.

Alongside this, she developed a highly personal body of photographic work, oscillating between figuration and abstraction, focusing in particular on reflections especially on water. With the end of the Covid-19 lockdown, she broadened her exploration to the fragmentation of the contemporary world, through often urban wanderings.
